When I become dictator I’m throwing everyone who orders a BMW SUV or a turbo Subaru with an a utomatic in a gulag.

The X3 and X5 are perfectly good SUVs that aren’t even offered with a manual option. The X4 and X6 deserve direct to gulag delivery though.

They’re completely useless as far as SUVs are concerned. Don’t worry, though, my wife drives a first gen X1. Not enough of a car to get her out of the gulag, but she’ll be a fair kapo.

T hat’s super cool they let you see all the production steps and where it’s at, “and now we are installing the left front fender...”

I wish I could get that level of detail. I’d be all about it.

BMW adding M in front of the names of non M cars? Never heard of such a thing.
I really need to get my m C10 up and running again.

One assumes they have all that information too. Like they could tell you exactly what is being done at every minute. They might even have cameras along the line that could give you a look in (though I think they ban cameras on the factory tour, so maybe they wouldn’t be keen on that).

It probably wouldn't be too difficult for them to install a camera at each stop on the production line and then set up a live stream where you put in your VIN and it changes cameras as your car moves along the line.
